Assurance of God’s care – Matthew 10:30; Psalm 37:25; Hebrews 13:5,6

Assurance of salvation – John 5:24, Rom 5:1-3; Rom 5:18; 1John 5:9-13 (we make God a lier if as true believers we are not sure we are saved and will stay saved as long as we truly keep on believing in Jesus and accepting the gift of our salvation in Him): “If you give yourself to Christ, and accept Him as your Saviour, then, sinful as your life may have been, for His sake you are accounted righteous. Christ’s character stands in place of your character, and you are accepted before God just as if you had not sinned.” (Steps to Christ, p. 62).

Atheism – Psalm 14:1; Rom 1:19-20; Rev 21:8; Romans 2:12-16;

Baptism of believers (>) – Rom. 6:1-6; Col. 2:12, 13; Acts 16:30-33; 22:16; 2:38; Matt. 28:19, 20; Through our baptism, we are supposed to publicly confess that we believe in the great truth of our corporate death in and with Christ (see In Christ Motif) which we accepted and which took place two thousand years ago. When we are baptised into Christ (and not into any denomination) we demonstrate that we accepted the historic truth according to which when Christ died two thousand years ago on the cross then we died with Him as well. And, if someone dies what should be the next step? The funeral, of course! And this is exactly what baptism really is. It is the funeral of our old sinful and condemned life (in the form of the representative corporate sinful human nature, including our law of sin and self we are born with) that was crucified in Christ. Unfortunately, the leaders and pastors in any Christian denomination today either do not seem to understand or are not willing to accept this great truth, and some even dare to openly oppose it. Therefore, those who accept Christ and believe in Him are almost always, in a spiritual sense, “buried alive” through baptism, as they are baptised without any knowledge and acceptance of the truth according to which they already died in Jesus on the cross. And since burying people who are still physically alive is a great crime for which we would be sentenced and imprisoned for life likewise burying Christians who haven’t yet accepted their death in Christ should be also regarded as a horrible (spiritual) crime! Baptism of Christ (>) – Matthew 3:13-17; Heb 2:14-18: “Christ was baptized because by taking our representative sinful human nature He became us, He was humankind, our great representative, and it was us in Him that needed cleansing through baptism!”; “The word that was spoken to Jesus at the Jordan, This is My beloved Son, embraces humanity. God spoke to Jesus as our representative… The Saviour’s glance seems to penetrate heaven as He pours out His soul in prayer. He asks for the witness that God accepts humanity in the person of His Son. With all our sins and weaknesses, we are not cast aside as worthless. He hath made us accepted in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:6 ). Notwithstanding that the sins of a guilty world were laid upon Christ, notwithstanding the humiliation of taking upon Himself our fallen nature, the voice from heaven declared Him to be the Son of the Eternal.” (Desire of Ages, pages 110-113)

Salvation of entire world (all sinners) in Christ (Universal Salvation): 2Cor 5:19; Rom 5:18; John 3:16; Although all past present and future sinners (the entire world) were already saved and died (were punished with death) in Christ on the cross, yet since this salvation is a gift from God it must be accepted by true faith to become effective (John 3:16).

Salvation through faith alone (apart from works): John 6: 28-29; Ephesians 2:8,9 – Salvation of a sinner is entirely a free gift from God. This salvation of the entire sinful human race was already accomplished 2000 years ago by God’s Sun. This salvation is made effective through faith. The fruit of receiving this grace is good works (Ephesians 2:10). But good deeds do not contribute to our salvation. They are just a result of accepting the free forgiveness and salvation and the working of the indwelling Spirit of God.

Satan: 1 Peter 5: 8-9;

Second (Last) Adam (lost in First Adam, saved in Second Adam): Rom 5:12-20; 1 Corinthians 15:22,45; The Hebrew word “Adam” means humankind. First Adam represented entire humankind and likewise, the second Adam (Christ) represented entire humanity. Therefore, what they did the entire humanity did in them. We are all lost and condemned in Adam because we sinned in him. Because we were in Adam, his one sin made us all sinners (Rom 5:19). While God does not blame us, or hold us responsible or guilty for Adam’s sin, nevertheless, because we were in Adam when he sinned, we share his condemnation to death. But the wonderful good news is that Christ came as the second Adam (second mankind) and in a similar way as we were in the first Adam likewise, we were also in the second Adam (Christ). It means that we were perfectly obedient in Him, we died in Him and were saved in Him because we were all in Him and were represented by Him. Therefore, everything Jesus did is ours because He was us. The only thing that is required from us is to accept this supreme gift of God’s love by true faith and maintain this faith until death.
